Katie Messina: Expressionist Painter and Photographer
My expressionist oil and acrylic landscape paintings in the 1990s allowed me to explore and imagine the color and light of the mountains and seas. This directly led to my other passion of photography, which I ultimately decided to pursue. I enjoy catching the drama of images in landscape so that viewers can form their own experiences and impressions of the photograph.
